Skip the bad dates this Valentine's Day and date a mystery book instead!

From 10-16 February, drop into the library and choose from a selection of mystery books based on their dating profile. A selection of books have been curated by our talented librarians and wrapped up in paper so you can't, as the old adage states, judge a book by its cover. However, you can read their dating profile to decide whether it's a "swipe left" or a "swipe right" from you! Will you pick Vincenzo, the wealthy vineyard entrepreneur with big dreams? Or perhaps the troublesome Jack who is currently kidnapped?

But how do you date a book, you ask? It's easy!

1. Pick one of our mystery books by reading through the dating profile on the front cover. The book will be wrapped up to keep it anonymous.

2. Check out your "date" as normal - no need to unwrap it yet, the scanner can read it even when it's covered.

3. Get cozy at home, unwrap your mystery book, and get reading!

Blind Date with a Book will be available at all libraries in the district from 10 February.
