Wriggle and Rhyme is a fun, lively session for babies and their caregivers, full of songs, stories, movement, and rhythm.  Each session encourages little bodies to move, wriggle, bounce, and explore in a relaxed and supportive group setting. Our friendly facilitators guide you through simple movement activities that support your child’s physical development, brain growth, and confidence, all while having fun together.  You don’t need any experience. Just come along, join in at your own pace, and enjoy spending time with your child.

What happens at Wriggle and Rhyme?

Each session includes a mix of:

  • Action songs and rhymes
  • Gentle bouncing, wriggling, and movement
  • Sensory activities
  • A short story time

Sessions are baby led. It is okay if your child watches quietly, joins in enthusiastically, or takes breaks as needed.

What will we explore in Wriggle and Rhyme?

Wriggle and Rhyme follows a series of themed sessions that support early development through movement, music, and play. Each session focuses on a different area of early growth, while remaining flexible, welcoming, and fun.

Across the programme, we explore:

Watch Me Wiggle
Activities that encourage babies to follow movement with their eyes, supporting early coordination and calm focus.

Touch, Tickle and Feel
Gentle touch and tickle activities that support bonding and help babies develop body awareness.

Busy Little Hands
Songs and actions that build hand strength, coordination, and early fine motor skills.

Roll, Reach and Crawl
Floor-based play that strengthens muscles and supports rolling, reaching, and crawling.

Rock, Sway and Balance
Movement activities such as bouncing, swaying, and rocking that support balance and spatial awareness.

Strong Bodies, Big Moves
Play that builds upper body and core strength needed for crawling, pulling up, and early walking.

You do not need to attend every session to enjoy Wriggle and Rhyme. Each week stands on its own, but together the sessions support strong foundations for movement, learning, and confidence in the early years.
