September Book Club Meeting

Hello, book-lovers!

A good turn-out of you at our August Meeting, to discuss your various women authors. Nora Roberts is obviously flavour of the month, as we had two titles by her in the mix this time round: ‘The Liar’ and ‘Shelter in Place’. Both books were warmly recommended by those who read them.

With Spring just around the corner, the group is getting a little adventurous, venturing out of the Fiction pond and into the Non-Fiction sea.  Specifically, you are invited to dip into the following sections:  the 300s, 500s or 800s.

So go ahead, dive right in and see what treasures you come up with!
Next meeting is Friday September 7th, 4pm at the Te Aroha Library.

Greetings, book-lovers!

Unbelievably, it's that time again - we're meeting to discuss our 'Women Writers' ths Friday, August 3rd, 4pm at Te Aroha Library.

You've still got a couple or three days to find a suitable book to read if you haven't quite got there yet.

Looking forward to a good turn-out of you all on Friday.

Happy reading -

August Book Club Meeting

Greetings, book-lovers!

The Authors-Beginning-With-A topic brought out a wonderful range of reading material, from Jeffrey Archer to Midge Albom, with most of the books you read being described as ‘very interesting’, and the Archer novel, ‘Cometh the Hour’ as ‘very good’ and ‘enjoyable’, so we’ll make an executive decision and name that one Read of the Month, this time round.

Our next meeting is on Friday 3rd August, from 4pm at the Te Aroha Library. Our theme is Women Writers.
Plenty of scope there!  Can’t wait to see what/ who you come up with!
